A short pause, on your terms.
Choose a short written pause for interruptions, screen breaks or starting again. Optional sounds, clear stop controls and no required outcome.
Look at the task you were doing before the interruption. You do not need to restart everything.
02:00
Ready. Sound is off.
Silence is available throughout. Sound is optional.
Scenes are original code-drawn illustrations. Audio uses synthesized nature textures and original procedural tones, not field recordings, recorded instruments or a therapist’s voice. This is optional recreation, not treatment.
Make this comfortable
Choose a place where it is safe to pause. Sound is off until you choose it and begin; start at a comfortable low volume. Keep your eyes open or look away from the screen. Use Pause, Reset or Pause scene whenever you want. Nothing needs holding, tensing or forcing.
The timer follows elapsed time while the page is active, but devices can suspend background tabs. Keep the page open for reliable timing; this is not an alarm or a sleep-monitoring device. A session ending does not mean you must feel a particular way.
The complete written pauses
After an interruption · 2 minutes by default
- Look at the task you were doing before the interruption. You do not need to restart everything.
- Name the last completed step. Read just enough of your work to find your place.
- Choose the next small action. You can write it down before continuing.
A quiet lunch pause · 3 minutes by default
- Put study material aside for a moment if your setting allows. Choose an ordinary comfortable position.
- Notice something around you: the light, a colour or a familiar object. No particular feeling is required.
- When you are ready, decide whether to continue resting or return to one specific task.
Before opening social media · 1 minute by default
- Pause before opening the app. What do you intend to do there?
- Name a specific purpose, or choose to browse without pretending it is a study task.
- Choose when you would like to return. You may also decide not to open the app right now.
Starting after a missed day · 2 minutes by default
- Open the current task list and notice what is still relevant today.
- Choose one small task that fits the time you actually have. Leave the rest visible for replanning.
- Write the first action. A missed day does not need to become an impossible catch-up session.
Notice one small success · 2 minutes by default
- Think of one ordinary thing you completed or understood today. It can be small.
- Describe what happened without comparing it with someone else. What action helped?
- Keep a brief note if you want. There is no need to turn the moment into a new target.
Choose a next step · 2 minutes by default
- Name the task in front of you. Is it small enough to start, or does it need breaking down?
- Choose an action that leaves a visible result: one sentence, one checked answer or one prepared file.
- Decide whether to begin now or put the action into a realistic time slot.
Notice an ordinary detail · 2 minutes by default
- Look at an ordinary object near you. Keep your eyes open and choose something comfortable to notice.
- Observe its shape, edges or colour. If you prefer, notice an ordinary sound instead.
- Let the observation end whenever you wish. Return to the room and choose what to do next.
Away from the screen · 3 minutes by default
- If convenient, look away from the screen and let the task wait for a short moment.
- Choose a comfortable view or position. Nothing needs stretching, holding or forcing.
- Return when ready, or continue the break. Decide on one task before opening several windows.
